Black First Land Firs (BLF) is cautiously encouraged to receive a letter of invitation to a meeting with the Deputy Public Protector on Monday 8 August 2016 at the head quarters of the Public Protector in Brooklyn Pretoria.
Last month, 26 members of BLF were arrested at the same venue by the police on trumped up charges. These members are each out on R500 bail and shall appear again on 12 August in Court 62 at the Kgosi Mampuru Maximum Prison in Pretoria.
The meeting with the Public Protector is to discuss how the complaint by BLF of state capture by white capitalists, including Johann Rupert and eight others, is to be undertaken. BLF believes that white capital has captured the state and is engaged in the super exploitation of the black majority. The complaint relates to how white capitalists forced the President of the country, Mr Jacob Zuma, to fire Des Van Rooyen as Minister of Finance and hire its preferred candidate Pravin Gordhan in a blatant illegal manner.
BLF notes with concern that the invitation from the Public Protector does not include any discussion of an update on the R26 billion stolen by white capital. BLF shall nonetheless raise the matter in the meeting on Monday.
A press briefing shall be held on Monday around 1pm after the meeting with the Public Protector at 175 Lunnon Street, Hillcrest Office Park, Pretoria (outside the head quarters of the Public Protector).
