Memorandum to President Jacob Zuma: We demand a Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Banks Now!

Our country is drowning in corruption. However, the most corrupt are presenting themselves as crusaders against corruption. These corrupt forces use the claim of fighting corruption to further the imperialist regime change plots. If we don’t stop corruption, we run the risk of our country being given back to whites and imperialism. Already the forces of reaction control some of the most strategic Metropolitan Cities of our country.

We have watched with shock how in Brazil the most corrupt have teamed up with imperialism and pro-imperialist opposition parties to conduct an illegal coup against a democratically elected president, under the pretext of fighting corruption. These forces are now in South Africa. They are the same forces that has started the “Zuma Must Go” campaign. We reject the regime change plot by the likes of Johann Rupert and the Oppenheimers using their bulldog Sipho Pityana.

We say to the President of the country, the best way to defend national sovereignty is to courageously deal with all corruption. Who are the forces that are doing corruption in South Africa? This question must be properly answered. The white owned media has succeeded in projecting those who want to end the economic domination by white monopoly capital as those who are corrupt. They own the media and therefore control the narrative. They vilify those who stand in their way and they try to incite the nation against their opponents. They divide us, to rule us!

BLF has also observed over time that each time we point to white corruption, the white owned media hides behind the Gupta family. Similarly each time we ask the Minister of Finance, Mr Pravin Gordhan, to deal with white monopoly capital corruption he hides behind the Guptas.

BLF says, if the Guptas are corrupt let them face the music. However, they can’t be made the scapegoats each time we call for action against white corruption.

The First Corruption!

In South Africa (SA), the first act of corruption is land theft by whites. Whites stole the land of black people. White people haven’t returned our land, but have a lot to say about corruption. How can beneficiaries of corruption be crusaders against corruption?

This is the main corruption (land theft) that shapes all other corruptions. South Africa was founded on corruption in 1652. The 1994 democratic change didn’t end this foundational corruption. The New Constitution has merely given this historical corruption by whites a new legitimacy. This explains why white settler monopoly capital continues to loot and plunder with impunity.

If you are white, you can steal with little consequences. As we speak, Johann Rupert is point blank refusing to pay his rates and taxes in Mpumalanga. But when we blacks in the township don’t pay rates and taxes, they cut services to us and even attach and sell our house in execution of the “debt”.

White corruption has become normalized – it’s the way of life and therefore it is invisible.
There are too many instances of white corruption that goes unpunished. Here is a small sample:

1. The R50 billion stolen by the construction cartel exposed by the Competition Commission.

2. The R26 billion stolen from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) by, amongst others, Johann Rupert and ABSA Bank.

3. The Oppenheimer family operating a private airport inside a national key point and demanding to be given the right to upgrade it into an international private airport.

4. The London based Lonmin mining company is evidently the biggest beneficiary and instigator of the Marikana massacre. Cyril Ramaphosa is a mere garden boy of Lonmin and has just over 10% of the shares in that evil company.

5. Every day billions of rands leave the shores of SA illegally as “illicit financial outflows”. BLF research shows that in ten years more than R560 billion was stolen by white monopoly capital.

6. We watched with shock how Vodacom stole from the young black man Nkosana Makate and still refuses to pay him after the courts have said he must be paid for his stolen intellectual property.

7. BLF is receiving reports on a daily basis of white corruption and how white businesses are destroying black businesses.

BLF is now calling for decisive action against corruption. We ask President Zuma to lead and to use the powers he has in term of the constitution to end corruption. The President must not listen to hypocrites who want to effect regime change under the guise of fighting corruption. He must be brave for the sake of the country and take the necessary bold steps now.

In our quest to address the rampant corruption in SA by white and black thieves, we are calling on the President of the country to step forward. BLF has asked for two important Judicial Commissions of Inquiry, namely:

1. On state capture by Johann Rupert and others implicated in the theft of R26 billion from SARB.

2. On the Banks with the terms of reference including inter alia to probe the alleged collusion of banks in the closure of the Oakbay bank accounts; any corrupt activities as alleged in the media and by political parties around the illicit movement of money by Oakbay; and bank practices around racist differential treatment of clients.

The Commission of Inquiry into the conduct of the Banks and the Guptas can no longer wait. Many corrupt people and their organs have hidden behind their lack of action on the allegations around why the banks closed the Oakbay accounts. Was there wrongdoing? If so, by whom and how? Only a Judicial Commission of Inquiry can solve this mystery.

The Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan who was illegally appointed by white capital to protect their interests, has also gone to court claiming that banks have information of wrong doing by the Gupta owned companies. To this end the banks are refusing to provide information for their actions. This is to confuse the people and to make them angry on false grounds. We want the truth now. We demand that the banks be probed so that the truth can come out and those who are guilty are punished. The banks behave like a mafia gang!

BLF notes the recommendations of the Inter Ministerial Committee chaired by Minister Mosebenzi Zwane on banks. These recommendations must now be implemented without any further delay.

We call on President Zuma to establish a Judicial Commission of Inquiry without any more delays.

We are tired of corruption. Now it is time to end it irrespective of who does it!
BLF is aware of the agents of white capital who want to remove President Zuma and install their puppet Cyril Ramaphosa so as to ensure that black people will be prevented from demanding their rights in protest. Ramaphosa has already shown his commitment to white capital in Marikana. Those workers who perished in the massacre, were murdered for Lonmin after Ramaphosa demanded that the police take action. Imagine what will happen to workers under his Presidency.

BLF rejects the “Zuma Must Go” campaign. We reject the Save South Africa racist campaign.

We demand a Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the Banks, the Guptas and the Ruperts. We want to start 2017 on a clean slate.

Today we deliver this memorandum. We give the Presidency until the end of 2016 to take action on our demands. Should there be no action by January 2017, BLF shall undertake daily protest action here at the Presidency until our demands are met.

In the meantime we call on all South Africans who are against corruption to support the demands of this memorandum by writing to the President, calling on him via the Presidential hotline, and demanding that he institute the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Banks.

We say, “Msholozi ungabasabi!”
