Media Statement
BLF (Black First Land First) Limpopo congratulate the class of 2016 matriculants.
The BLF in Limpopo joins the people of the Limpopo province to congratulate the hard working and successful 2016 matriculants announced by MEC for basic education in S.A.
BLF Limpopo would also like to congratulate the top achiever of 2016; Karabo Moremi and the Vhembe district for always putting Blacks in their district first; specifically Mbilwi Tshivhase and Thengwe schools.
As BLF Limpopo we do not celebrate the 62% as the best results. Our provincial department got more than R27bn in budget to improve the standard of education in the province but it seems like the opposite happened. With almost half of the provincial budget allocated to Limpopo Department of Basic Education but with this poor performance, BLF has noted that the problem isn’t with the educators, students nor the Department of Basic Education in Limpopo rather within the Provincial Leadership of the ruling party.
Internal factions in the province have put MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe’s department under administration. BLF has also noted that the road to the ruling party’s national conference is the reason why Mr Kgetjepe was neutralized in his department were looting by the provincial leadership of the ruling party is the order of the day.
The premier of Limpopo puts his interests(tenders) first than the people of this province.
BLF Limpopo cannot allow political factions destroy the future of our black society anymore,Greediness and Selfishness in this Province has compromised the citizens enough. The ruling party has also lost its morals and values. Statistically since the Premier took over the region ,the youth unemployment rate in the province has grown by 30% whilst the pensioners in the leadership are getting richer by the day.
BLF Limpopo demands that the Premier and the Limpopo MEC of Basic Education to account for this Province’s poor performance in 2016 due to their differences.
Black First Land First demands that the leadership of the ruling party in the Province to put Black People First and Land First before their tenders.
