BLF to engage ANC members in Orlando Stadium

BLF to engage ANC members in Orlando Stadium

Black First Land First (BLF) shall be at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday for the ANC 105th anniversary celebrations. BLF will be there to critically engage ordinary members of the ANC around the key questions facing our nation. BLF believes in “Peace Amongst Blacks”.

Key to the engagement with ordinary members of the ANC who are landless, poor and victims of racism because they are black like us, are the following:

1. One Million Signatures for Land Petition

A Land Petition shall be conducted in furtherance of realizing land return to blacks. BLF asks the question; “should blacks buy back our stolen land?” Yes or No?  To this end BLF seeks a minimum of one million signatures on the Land Petition of those people who answer NO to the question. Once 1 million signatures are secured, the people’s verdict shall be delivered via mass action to  parliament.

2. “Hands Off Zuma – Economic Liberation Now!” Campaign

BLF seeks to engage these ordinary members on why it’s so important to oppose regime change by imperialism through a minimum program that puts blacks first. The ANC has nominal political power. It is therefore possible for it to deliver on the demands of the minimum program and thereby realize economic liberation. In this regard the following demands of the campaign shall be shared and debated:

1. Return of the land without paying for it.
2. Nationalisation of banks and mines.
3. Free quality education now!
4. Reparations for Marikana from Lonmin.
5. Living minimum wage (R12 500) and basic income.
6. Release of all APLA prisoners now!
7. Eradication of business monopolies.

Our country calls for a new consensus that genuinely puts blacks first and opposes all who seek to divide us. We have waited for too long for liberation. We blacks must dialogue amongst ourselves to find common solutions to problems we didn’t create. Settler colonialism, manifested as white monopoly capitalism, remains the fundamental contradiction in our country.
