The police have responded with timid mild charges against the Maselspoort Resort and Conference Centre racists. The timid actions by the police emboldened the racists. The acts of racism were plain to all who saw the video of the incident. Furthermore, the parents have reported the fact of how racist the acts were. The police who are not trained to understand and combat individual acts of racism, minimise these acts. These acts are not common assault but racist attacks on black children.

It’s an indictment on the ANC that 28 years into democracy South Africa doesn’t have an explicit anti racism law to punish acts of racism. The ANC rule facilitates anti black racism and the opposition parties are equally complicit in empowering racism by going into political coalitions with parties of white supremacy like the DA.

A historically informed legal framework to outlaw racism is long overdue. Such legislation must move from the principle that blacks can’t be racist but are victims of racism. Black First Land First (BLF) has been calling for the criminalisation of racism. In 2018 BLF published its Anti-Racism Bill in an attempt to prompt the ANC to act. Individual acts of racism shall be a reality untill blacks get real power which is predicated on the return of the land and on economic emancipation.

Dr Phaahla, employ the doctors

Dr Phaahla, employ the doctors

Black First Land First (BLF) is appalled by the news, as announced by the South African Medical Association Union (Samatu), that at least 225 post-community service doctors will be unemployed by January.

BLF calls on the Minister of Health, Dr Phaahla, to give the nation assurance that come January all the doctors facing unemployment shall be placed in our healthcare facilities. Failure to do so shall trigger national protests against the Minister. Health is a fundamental right.

The ANC conference is a setback for blacks

The ANC conference is a setback for blacks

Image: Awande Zwane, SABC News

It’s absolutely clear the ANC has formalised itself into an anti black pro white monopoly capital (WMC) party. Stellenbosch has won yet again. We do well to remember that in the previous conference WMC forked out R1 billion to help Cyril Ramaphosa buy the ANC conference. It’s not far fetched to think the Phala Phala millions were used to buy the recent conference. Rumours of R20 000 per delegate to vote for Ramaphosa have surfaced.

The outcomes of the 54th National Conference of the ruling party point to the exhaustion of the ANC as a party that can advance black progress. We have seen the DAefication of the ANC and institutionalisation of WMC corruption and incompetency to serve white power under the Ramaphosa administration. The near collapse of Eskom is one indication of this policy directive in practice. The point is to destroy in order to privatise, which really means selling state owned assests to friends and handlers on the cheap as happened with SAA.

The re-election of Ramaphosa and his pro WMC slate has finally finished the ANC as an option for black people. Blacks must build an alternative to drive the Radical Economic Transformation agenda outside the ANC. The ANC can no longer be saved. It’s a white party with a black face.

Black First Land First (BLF) shall go into a reflection and planning meeting in January 2023 to provide direction to save black people from the Stellenbosch agenda which has captured the ANC.
