BLF in solidarity with the accused – Mahlangu and Dooka

Today Black First Land First (BLF) will stand in solidarity with two brave black brothers, Danny Mahlangu and Modiso Dooka, who stood their ground against a racist motorist, Carel Kruger, in Pretoria. Many black people are victims of racist attacks in Pretoria. BLF believes that we blacks have a natural right to defend ourselves against racists. Self defence is a completely legitimate action.

BLF will be in court today to express its support towards the accused who are charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. We know that for backs the presumption of guilt and not innocence operates in South African courts as it dispenses white justice.

We call on parliament to implement the “Anti-Racism Bill of 2017” as proposed by our movement in the written submission made earlier in the year. All racist organisations like afriforum must be banned. The principle of “blacks can’t be racist” must be observed. Furthermore, all whites found guilty of racism must serve a term of imprisonment of 20 years. Furthermore their land must be expropriated and upon release they must be deported to Europe.

BLF statement as ordered by the High Court

On 7 July 2017, the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Local Division in Johannesburg, delivered its judgment in case number 23897/17 being the matter between the South African National Editors Forum (SANEF) and eleven other applicants versus Black First Land First and Andile Mngxitama. The Court ordered, amongst others, both respondents (BLF and Andile Mngxitama) “to issue a public statement” to BLF members “that they do not condone” certain actions in relation to the applicants namely “Intimidation; Harassment; Assaults; Threats; Coming to their homes; or acting in any manner that would constitute an infringement of their personal liberty”; as well as any “intimidating gestures on social media” relating to “any violence, harm and threats”. To this end the following statement is issued:

Black First Land First (BLF) is an anti racist revolutionary movement that seeks to end white supremacy that was inaugurated in South Africa on the arrival of a European settler horde under the leadership of the criminal Jan van Riebeeck in 1652. The genocidal program against the African people was in the main driven by land dispossession. Racism is born from the above processes.

Furthermore, BLF as an anti racist organization believes that blacks can’t be racist but are victims of racism which is perpetuated by whites for their own benefit. Racism is the most violent process. It has both overt and covert mechanisms to reproduce itself. Having normalised itself, its presents white bodies as being more deserving of protection than black bodies. Racism furthermore has the elements as described in paragraph (a) of the court order. BLF is at war with racism. It is therefore ipso facto opposed to a society that treats its members with violence. We understand that racism will ultimately be defeated by ending its institutionalized basis.

BLF assures the Applicants that it would not, and had never intended to, harm them in anyway. Our fight is with racism and BLF shall continue to use our fundamental right to protest to counter any acts of racism. Only the end of racism shall ensure enduring peace for all in a just society where all citizens shall have equal substantive rights.

BLF also welcomes the clarification by the order that private homes are not zones of protest. The standard of protesting at homes of citizens was becoming a common occurance in our society. From now on, no one shall dare launch any protest at the private homes of their adversaries. This is a welcome development. Indeed, protesting at the Gupta family home is as undesirable as protesting at the home of Peter Bruce. BLF welcomes this and shall encourage all to abide by this civilised behaviour in equal measure.

BLF reserves its rights to protest as per the rights quaranteed in the Constitution. Our protest will be directed at racists and never at black people because blacks can’t be racist – even those who we may consider as being aids to white supremacy have immunity from any protest.
