Court orders AmaBhungane to debate BLF

Court orders AmaBhungane to debate BLF

The High Court yesterday ordered AmaBhungane to have a debate with Black First Land First (BLF) about the fake news including fake emails that the movement and its leader has been falsely implicated in. BLF had told the Court that AmaBhungane is running away from an open debate because it is afraid of being exposed for being manufacturers of fake news.

AmaBhungane wanted the Court to sentence the leader of BLF, Comrade Andile Mngxitama, to a three months term of imprisonment coupled with a the payment of a fine by both BLF and its leader in the amount of R100 000, payable within seven days. The Court did not agree with these punitive measures demanded by AmaBhungane. Yes, in this regard the Court didn’t agree with the relief sought by AmaBhungane – even without hearing BLF’s side of the story. If BLF was given a chance to put its version of the story before Court then, and in that event, even the most racist of judges would have dismissed the application of AmaBhungane and the white journalists.

BLF is calling on AmaBhungane to stop running away from debating with it. The Court has now spoken. It also observed that the AmaBhungane owner and alleged apartheid spy, Sam Sole, seemed dazed by its decision. The Judge was driven to asked Sole as to why he looked confused? On the other hand, the Judge had complimentary things to say about BLF Provincial leader, Abie Letsoalo. This is a good indication of how a debate between BLF and AmaBhungane is likely to go – confusion of AmaBhungane versus the clarity of BLF.

BLF will study the Court judgement and decide if it wishes to appeal or not. Right now we are busy with serious matters related to the battle against white monopoly capital. The battle for land is on!

BLF under attack from white monopoly capital

BLF under attack from white monopoly capital

Black First Land First (BLF) considers the latest round of attacks on our movement as part of a well coordinated strategy to undermine the revolutionary work of our organization and other progressive organisations. The white owned media is on high drive in defence of land thieves – day in and day out the white owned media manufactures fake news about BLF. This is expected. Our enemies are worried and concerned.

The reason why white monopoly capital and its media are running a propaganda campaign against BLF is to try and divert attention from the R4.3 billion corruption that happened in Treasury under the former Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan. The invention of fake emails is part of the strategy to force the attention of the nation away from the proven corruption at Treasury and to find easy diversions through gossip and fake news production. BLF challenges the white owned media to produce the full emails, not the clearly fake e-mails attributed to the leaders of our organization.

For the record, BLF has no moral or political objections to ask for funds from the Guptas, any individual or any other entity it may decide to ask for funds from. What is despicable is the lies told about funding which has never been given. What we know is that its the Democratic Alliance (DA) and many other political parties that got funding from the Gupta family. The Gupta family has not been found guilty of any criminal activities. BLF challenges all political parties to reveal the sources of their funding and stop the hypocrisy.

The white owned media has deliberately suppressed news of how Julius Malema has openly begged for money from Johann Rupert, the corrupt land thief. It is not speculation that Malema asked for money from Rupert. There is hard evidence, not fake emails to support this. Yet the white owned media is totally silent about this.

BLF understands that the fake e-mails are also used as propaganda to deflect attention from the very successful Land Imbizo it held over the weekend in Soweto. White monopoly capital is worried about the Soweto Land Declaration and its Program of Action which calls for, amongst other things, land expropriation without compensation by the landless themselves. The Land Imbizo was attended by more than 5000 delegates from across the country and from all the provinces.

As part of the imbizo resolution BLF will be seeking meetings with the ruling party and the President of the country Mr Jacob Zuma. BLF shall also take a trip to Zimbabwe to meet President Mugabe. The Imbizo also called for the establishment of Land Expropriation Committees to take back the land.

Nothing will deter us from pursuing the agenda for land return.
