Equality Court postponed the AfriForum case against BLF

Equality Court postponed the AfriForum case against BLF

Earlier today the Equality Court sitting in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court postponed the spurious case of AfriForum against Black First Land First (BLF) to 18 and 20 September 2019. The case was postponed due to AfriForum’s unethical conduct of disregarding the court rules with regard to the live broadcasting of the court proceedings in this matter. The racist group wanted to turn the court into a media spectacle. BLF’s objection to the intended media spectacle was upheld by the court.

The court ruled that the media lodge its application competently by Monday 26 August 2019, to televise the court’s proceedings and that BLF be properly served with the papers. It strongly cautioned that it won’t give the press permission to proceed broadcasting without BLF being given proper notice of the application.

BLF notes that the media didn’t find it appropriate to notify it of AfriForum’s intentions, which it was well aware of. To this end, the racist AfriForum had invited the media under the pretext that there shall be a live broadcast in terms of which its leader, Ernst Alex Roets, (who is the complainant and also a so called expert witness) would be given the platform. BLF regards these shenanigans by AfriForum as a gross abuse of the court processes. Roets is not an expert. He is a racist.

BLF will notify the court about the provocation against it that was orchestrated by an hostile white woman journalist of Newzroom Afrika. This relates to, what appeared to be, a rehearsed attempt to ambush the BLF President, Andile Mngxitama, to either accept or sign a piece of propaganda about the discredited “boere genocide” (Kill the Boer). It’s clear that the journalist knew of this dirty scheme by Roets. The BLF President correctly rejected the piece of evil propaganda and dropped it on the floor. The role of the media in this provocation cannot be left unattended to.

BLF will be back in court on the 18th of next month to defend our right to self defence. AfriForum has no right to exist

The racist AfriForum has brought BLF to the Equality Court for “hate speech”. This same bunch of land thieves have also gone to court to defend the right of whites to hoist the apartheid flag.

The advocate who argued in defence of the apartheid flag is an Oppenheimer who is the same person who wants BLF to forgo its right to self defence. AfriForum opposes Affirmative Action; Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment; Land Expropriation Without Compensation; and even denies that apartheid was a crime against humanity.

The land thieves are scared of BLF. They want to silence us. We won’t be silenced. The land is ours!

BLF in court tomorrow against the racist AfriForum

BLF in court tomorrow against the racist AfriForum

Tomorrow, 21 August 2019 Black First Land First (BLF) will be at the Equality Court, which will sit in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, to defend itself against yet another attack on our movement by land thieves. The trial will be heard under case number 29/2018 EQ JHB. The racist AfriForum has taken our ourganisation to the Equality Court on false charges of hate speech. The right wing group hopes to silence our organization through the abuse of the judiciary.

All the white supremacist organizations, representing land thieves, are scared of BLF. These organizations will do everything to stop BLF from existing. This is because these organizations of land thieves know that BLF can’t be bought with money nor can it be brought down by intimidation.

These racist organizations such as Freedom Front Plus; Solidarity; AfriForum; and their related subsidiaries would not rest until their evil project of shutting down BLF succeeds. We have bad news for them. BLF is going nowhere and shall be registered for the 2021 Local Government Elections.

There are a dozen outstanding matters, including new ones, that these groups have brought against BLF which amount to an abuse of the judiciary, in furtherance of their anti black agendas.

The trial tommorow is about a complaint of hate speech that AfriForum brought against BLF. This is in relation to the one is to five (1:5) comment by BLF President, Andile Mngxitama, which was in response to Johann Rupert threatening violence on black people through his “private army” in the taxi industry. We responded by saying that black people have a right to self defence. AfriForum is taking us to court for saying that we have a right to defend ourselves.

We shall never be bullied into allowing ourselves to be murdered like chickens.

We shall meet the land thieves in court tomorrow morning.

Note from the President of BLF on Tlokwe rally comments

1. Its six days since our revolutionary comments on self defence at the #MngxitamaHomecoming rally in Ikageng, Tlokwe.

2. I’m not arrested.

3. Black First Land First (BLF) is not banned by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). We received a letter asking us to refrain from making our self defence remarks. We have written back asking for a meeting.

4. I repeat, BLF is not deregistered from the IEC. Also, there is no process underway to stop BLF from contesting the 2019 general election.

5. Multiple so-called hate speech cases have been opened against us but none has since passed the stage of the appointment of an investigating officer.

6. Again, its now 6 days. I’m not in jail and would not be going there.

7. I remain suspended by Twitter. The period of my suspension expires in two days.

8. Facebook has imposed a ban on me for 30 days.

9. Thousands are joining our movement.

10. The Bambatha Self Defence Unit is at an advanced stage.

Mediation between the Human Rights Commission and BLF

Today, Black First Land First (BLF) will attend a mediation process at the offices of the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) in the matter of Lucy Strydom versus BLF and 6 others under case number 11/2018 EQ JHB. This follows the order on 18 July 2018 of the Equality Court (sitting at the Johannesburg Magistrate) that the parties engage in mediation.

The SAHRC financially supports the racist Lucy Strydom via legal representation in her quest to get BLF banned. The objective of Strydom’s case is to stop BLF from contesting the 2019 elections.

In the first court hearing the Magistrate agreed with BLF that the matter must proceed to mediation. Also the Magistate ruled that BLF may seek the assistance of the SAHRC to fund its legal representation just as the Applicant, Lucy Strydom, has done in this case. The SAHRC has turned down BLF’s subsequent written request for legal assistance, without any sound reason.

BLF had also asked the SAHRC for a mediation process in line with the court order dated 18 July 2018. While the SAHRC has agreed to mediation herein it has contravened the impartiality requirement by imposing its own Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as the mediator. This makes the SAHRC the complainant and the mediator at the same time. The SAHRC is not interested in mediation to facilitate an amicable resolution of this matter. It seems to us that all the SAHRC wishes for is to get BLF banned from contesting elections next year.

BLF will attend the mediation session and demand a neural mediator. We will insist that the mediation services offered at Court be utilized and to this end an appropriate mediator, from a panel of accredited mediators appointed by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, be chosen. Strydom claims to be harassed by slogans such as ‘one settler, one bullet’ and the BLF motto, ‘Land or Death’. Assisted by the SAHRC she has asked the Court to, amongst other things, deregister BLF from the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). This is a thinly veiled attempt to ban BLF.

BLF will be on the ballot paper in 2019 to defend radical economic transformation. We call on the SAHRC to stop playing politics. We note the blatant bias on the part of the SAHRC. They are quick to assist the racist Lucy Strydom but are refusing to give BLF the same courtesy.

The mediation will take place under the following details:

Date: 17 September 2018
Time: 2pm
Venue: SAHRC offices, 2nd floor,
33 Hoofd Street, Braampark,
Forum 3, Braamfontein.
