BLF condemns US imperialist attack on Verulam mosque

Black First Land First (BLF) joins the numerous religious bodies and other progressive entities in strongly condemning the attack on the Old Main Road mosque in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) this past Thursday which left Imam Abbas Mohamedelo Essop dead and two others wounded.

United States (US) imperialism in cahoots with the rest of the west is intensifying the senseless war for profit globally via regime change. In South Africa (SA) as well as in Brazil we have seen how they have removed democratically elected Presidents Jacob Zuma and Dilma Rousseff and replaced them with their puppets. It is clear that in SA currently imperialism is consolidating its agenda of completing and strengthening state capture by white monopoly capital (WMC) under the presidency of Cyril Ramaphosa. US imperialism has via the management of Ramaphosa facilitated counterrevolutionary protests to remove Supra Mahumapelo as the North West Premier because he is seen as a supporter of President Zuma who is the father Radical Economic Transformation (RET). Imperialism wants to stop RET because it threatens its interests globally and settler WMC in SA.

The events in both the NW and KZN follows the US military invasion of SA – evidenced by the presence of a huge US military plane at the Lensaria Airport since early this month – which in turn occurred shortly after a two week long tour of SA by Lord Robin Renwick of London. The silence of Ramaphosa to BLF’s question about whether the US military has been mandated to assist with the direct assault on the RET forces in SA is most revealing of his role in this invasion. We have also condemned the silence of the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema, on this issue who previously threatened to bring the government of Botswana down because of the presence of US military bases there.

The US military has the freedom to instigate conditions of war and to this end create religious and ethnic differences amongst the people. The current situation indicates a direct link between Robin Renwick’s visit to SA, and the US military invasion of the country, on the one hand; and the reactionary protests leading to political instability the NW, as well as the attack on the Verulam mosque by US imperialism to fuel disunity in the Islamic community and by extension instability in KwaZulu-Natal, on the other hand. The US imperialist attack on the mosque in KZN (President Zuma’s stronghold) as well as its sponsored attack on the NW province (another stronghold of Zuma) via Ramaphosa are intended to intimidate the RET forces, ensure that its looting of the country’s mineral resources continues and create instability in the provinces towards the 2019 general elections.

BLF calls on the leaders of the Islamic community to see the deceptive, bloody hand of imperialism, and not be swayed by it. We implore you to rather lead the Islamic people towards solidarity within the black block as we fight western imperialism which is the enemy of both RET as well as the Islamic people, the world over.

BLF warns Ramaphosa and all agents of imperialism to stop siding with the enemies of black people! We will not sit idle while you allow them to kill our people and burn our places of worship!

Cyril Ramaphosa allows military invasion of SA by USA

Cyril Ramaphosa allows military invasion of SA by USA

Black First Land First (BLF) is appalled by the brazen presence of the army of the United States of America (USA) in South Aftica (SA). Reports show that a massive USA military plane is stationed at the Lensaria Airport for the last few days. This is tantamount to setting up an American military base close to the capital city of our country.

The South African media has not cared to raise an alarm about this act of foreign military occupation of our country. The USA military invasion of SA occurs a few days after a two week long tour of the country by Robin Renwick. This raises questions about whether the USA military has been mandated to assist with the direct assault on the Radical Economic Transformation (RET) forces in SA.

BLF notes the silence of organisations that claim to fight state capture such as the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Julius Malema has in the past threatened to topple the government of Botswana because it has USA military bases stationed within it. He is however now quiet when the USA military is stationed right in the backyard of his Sandton home. The silence on this issue is another clear indication that there is a link between Robin Renwick’s visit to SA and the brazen display of USA military prowess.

BLF calls on Ramaphosa to tell Donald Trump to remove his war machines from our country with immediate effect. We are aware that this USA military invasion is about intimidating the RET forces and ensuring that the looting of our mineral resources by imperialism and white monopoly capital (WMC) continues.

Down with USA imperialism down!

AMCU is right – Malema & Ramaphosa must stop using Marikana

AMCU is right – Malema & Ramaphosa must stop using Marikana

Black First Land First (BLF) agrees with the President of the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU), Comrade Union president Joseph Mathunjwa, that both Cyril Ramaphosa and Julius Malema must stop abusing the Marikana massacre for their narrow interests. It is clear that the two old friends are now using the massacre, engineered by Cyril Ramaphosa, to rekindle their political romance.

There is a drive to whitewash the Marikana massacre and to unjustifiably absolve Cyril Ramaphosa of guilt. This means that there will be no real justice. He will get away without fully accounting for the mass killings of workers for profits and escaping the appropriate penalty for his sins, including the payment of reparations. We have seen how Malema has changed his tune on Ramaphosa. He has moved from calling him the ‘murderer of Marikana’ to declaring him as the ‘president who must be respected’.

Mathunjwa is correct when he says:

“The EFF and the ANC have no organisational rights in that mine, therefore, it is very wrong to suggest that the EFF is the gatekeeper for the State President to meet the widows. Those widows are organised, and they are under the banner of AMCU. We are the only trade union there”.

BLF is encouraged by the principled stance of AMCU. We have to always remember that Ramaphosa called for the “concomitant action” against the workers in service of the interests of Lonmin, which is a London based mining house. We must also not forget that Julius Malema has powerful handlers in London – Lord Robin Renwick, amongst others. So the bromance between Mokone and Matamela is a London project signed on the blood of the Marikana workers.

BLF calls for full disclosure of the truth from Ramaphosa on how Lonmin has used him against black workers. Furthermore, we encourage Ramaphosa to approach the legitimate organizations representing the workers and their families to ask for forgiveness as well as pay reparations for the brutal murder of their loved ones for profit.

Ramaphosa, stop hating President Zuma

Ramaphosa, stop hating President Zuma

Black First Land First (BLF) is outraged by the vindictive and hateful behaviour of Cyril Ramaphosa towards the People’s President, Comrade Zuma. Ramaphosa has withdrawn the appeal, previously instituted by the Presidency under Zuma, to overturn the decision of the High Court including the equally vindictive and hateful R10 million cost order imposed on Zuma in his personal capacity.

The said High Court cost order was part of the finding in the application where the Presidency took the state capture report of the former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela, on review and asked that it be set aside. The cost order was made a personal responsibility of Cde Zuma to comply with, despite the fact that he instituted the application in the interests of the state and accordingly in his capacity as the State President. Furthermore, there were no compelling reasons for such a punitive order of cots to imposed on him. The judiciary has allowed itself to be used for political reasons. We saw the same shockingly harsh cost order being imposed against the Public Protector, Advocate Busisiwe Mhkwebane, after she ruled that ABSA must pay back the money that it stole from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

The timing of the withdrawal of the appeal by Ramaphosa is also instructive. The “New Dawn” pro white monopoly capital (WMC) hateful forces of Ramaphosa waited until the court day to unleash their hatred towards Zuma.

WMC hates Zuma because he is the father of radical economic transformation (RET). But the masses of our people love President Zuma. BLF calls on Ramaphosa to stop his hateful project against Zuma and to reinstate the appeal to overturn the absurd ruling.
