SANEF must stop protecting Gwede

Black First Land First (BLF) calls on the South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) to stop with immediate effect its plans to protect Minister Gwede Mantashe and thereby promote criminality and corruption. The media must not try to make a gentlemen’s deal with Gwede to make his self-confessed crimes go away.

SANEF has unethically met with Gwede and is trying to make his problems go away with a mere apology. This is an insult. SANEF can’t investigate itself and then determine remedies.

A criminal case of corruption and bribery has been opened against Mantashe yesterday by BLF. We call on SANEF to cooperate with the police and stop its white washing shenanigans.

BLF rejects Sanef’s Inquiry into media credibility & ethics

BLF rejects Sanef’s Inquiry into media credibility & ethics

BLF denounces the South African National Editors’ Forum (Sanef) Panel of Inquiry into Media Credibility and Ethics.

We believe that it is a mechanism to whitewash the many bad acts of journalism and the open bias of the mainstream media against Radical Economic Transformation (RET). The fact that the same Sanef has been silent on many occasions of abuses of media freedom, including the shutting down of ANN7, makes their Panel of Inquiry not a credible process.

We call for an Independent Media Tribunal with a sound regulatory framework to monitor and address any violation of the principles of ethical journalism in the media.

ZCC urged to reject SANEF’s call to change its decision to boycott Tiso Blackstar

ZCC urged to reject SANEF’s call to change its decision to boycott Tiso Blackstar

Black First Land First (BLF) calls on the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) to reject the desperate and dishonest call by the South African National Editors Forum (SANEF) to reconsider its position to boycott the Tiso Blackstar stable.

This call by SANEF is disingenuous. It is based on the refusal to accept bad journalism and the insults which had been directed at the church and its leadership – in particular His Grace the Right Reverend Bishop, Dr Barnabas Lekganyane.

BLF says to the ZCC, “press on with the just cause. Lead us all to boycott white monopoly capital so that we can all get justice!”

White monopoly capital does not respect the truth or any black beliefs. It has total disregard for the observance and practice of ethical conduct. It only respects its profits. But the ZCC because of its size is able to kick them where it hurts most, in the pockets.

Viva ZCC Viva!

When SANEF is done talking to the racist Koos Bekker, it can come and talk to BLF!

When SANEF is done talking to the racist Koos Bekker, it can come and talk to BLF!

Black First Land First (BLF) has learnt from the racist, apartheid and colonial News24 – which is owned by Koos Bekker and created by the land dispossessors and justifiers of apartheid being Naspers – that SANEF is giving BLF until 10h00 tomorrow to respond to what they say is not a satisfactory compliance with the High Court order. SANEF has not written to us. We are also not aware if it has written to our lawyers. We therefore do not take the News24 statement seriously.

SANEF has every right to talk to Koos Bekker or to apartheid deniers. When it is satisfied taking to others, it can come and talk to us. We are ready and willing to engage, as we have always been.
