BLF rejects the R350 grant reapplication process

BLF rejects the R350 grant reapplication process

The ANC government is abusing the poor through unending red tape. The requirement that the already known poor reapply to get the covid-19 R350 Social Relief of Distress Grant is harassment by the state. To add salt to injury the poor who have complied with the horrible bureaucratic requirements are being rejected for no good reason. It seems as if the reapplication process is a mechanism to cull the poor from benefiting.

The corrupt government of Cyril Ramaphosa must with immediate effect give the poor the much needed relief. The poor do not have millions of USA dollars under their mattresses.

Black First Land First (BLF) shall lay a complaint of administrative prejudice against the poor with the Public Protector’s office and the South African Human Rights Commission.

We say, give the poor their relief now!
