BLF charges whites for annual murder of 20, 000 blacks

Today we remember Steve Biko’s teachings. Black First Land First (BLF) put the blame for the annual murders of about 20,000 black people squarely at the doorstep of white people of South Africa. You created the conditions that has turned the ghetto into a slaughter house. You created hell on earth for us and heaven for yourselves.

The annual murder rate is a direct creation of colonialism, apartheid and white supremacy. Without changing this evil system of power there is no hope for peace. We live in the middle of a war zone. The lives of black children are cut short systematically. The racist distribution of land and wealth ignites fights at alarming rates of death amongst the dispossessed.

Like Steve Biko, we charge the entire white community for the murders in the townships and squatter camps.

Biko, looking at crime in the black township, said:

“Township life alone makes it a miracle for anyone to live up to adulthood. There are situations of absolute want, in which black will kill black to be able to survive. This is the basis for vandalism, murder, rape and plunder that goes on while the real source of evil – white society – is sun-tanning on exclusive beaches or relaxing in their bourgeois homes.”

Biko was clear about who the real cause of evil is in black lives. The black condition is a creation of white people. BLF echoes Steve Biko and equally says that the 20,000 black people murdered annually is a direct creation of whites.

Whites need to repent, pay reparations and return our land. Only then shall peace return to black people.

BLF commits itself to fight until black people are liberated and peace is returned to our lives.

BLF (KZN) commemorates Steve Biko

This Saturday Black First Land First (BLF) will be commemorating Steve Bantu Biko, the revolutionary father of black consciousness, in KwaZulu Natal (KZN). You are invited!

The guiding philosophical outlook of BLF is at its core the black consciousness as principally developed by Biko. Through the Black People’s Convention (BPC) and the South African Student Organisation (SASO) – of which he was one of the founders – and other organisations that served the black community he used black consciousness (BC) to organize and mobilize the people into confrontation with the enemy towards their ultimate liberation. That struggle still continues today and is being carried forward by BLF.

BLF, armed with Biko’s BC, is able to correctly read that the primary contradiction in South Africa is white supremacy located in slavery as the first encounter; and colonialism, which is rooted in the dispossession of our land, as the second encounter. Slavery and colonialism has ensured that blacks are last in everything! The BLF has been elaborating, since its inception, just how bad things are in this country – most strikingly that we blacks are last in land ownership and to this end that more than 80% of our land is owned by a mere 35 000 white families and trusts. Moreover white monopoly capital, which is the practical operation of white supremacy on the economic plain, owns and controls 97% of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).

Via BC, BLF is committed to ending white supremacy by correcting the historical injustice of land theft. BC shows us how white supremacy develops all of its other branches – that manifest as secondary contradictions – so as to institutionalise itself as a way of life.

BLF is an organization of focused BC practitioners – guided by Biko’s BC. Hence we adhere to the following principles to keep the struggle against white supremacy on the revolutionary path: land return as the pre-condition towards ending racism; blacks can’t be racist; and anti-racism struggle to be led by blacks only.

In the spirit of spreading the revolutionary legacy of Steve Biko, BLF (KZN) will honour the great pioneer with a lecture by BLF President Andile Mngxitama, this Saturday under the following details:

BLF-SM UKZN remembers Steve Biko

Black First Land First – Student Movement, University of KwaZulu Natal (BLF-SM UKZN) commences #BLFBikoWeek at Howard College with our weekly ‘Clean the Campus’ program – thus continuing our commitment in assisting our parents who work within this institution. We meet at the Shepstone foyer at 07:00am on Monday 11 September 2017.

BLF-SM is a Black Consciousness movement inspired by Steve Biko who was one of the founders of the South African Student Organisation (SASO), a movement characterized by its service within the black community.

Inspired by Steve Biko, a former UKZN medical school student, we as BLF-SM are committed to serving the black community both inside and outside the institution. To this end we are working to unite all black people so as to take back the land.

The #BLFBikoWeek will also include mobilization, conscientisation and recruitment drives as well as two Biko lectures.

Let’s study to fight

In the current national black waves recruitment program – towards the National Land Imbizo that will be held on 27 May 2017 in Mofolo Park, Soweto – two main areas of politics is generating a lot of interest, namely: the political orientation of the movement; and the question of who is black. The following are extracts from political education induction documents of BLF that speak to the areas of interest.

The Philosophical and Ideological perspective of BLF

The BLF is a black consciousness movement, inspired by Robert Sobukwe, Steve Biko and Thomas Sankara. We seek a synthesis of the revolutionary ideas of Sobukwe (his radical Pan Africanism), Biko (his black consciousness) and Sankara as a practical elaboration of people’s power. These three revolutionaries cement the overall ideological orientation of our movement.

Who is black?

The key question that defines our movement is: WHO IS BLACK? In this regard the BLF accepts the definition provided by Steve Biko. Every member is required to read the documents listed below.The relationship between our position being black and the fact of racism and white supremacy is a fundamental question for our movement.
